“Intimacy/Incommensurability: Andean Women’s Nonfiction Filmmaking in the 1980s”
Isabel Seguí received a PhD in Film Studies at the University of St Andrews in 2019 with a thesis focused on the politics and practices of Andean women oppositional filmmakers. In 2020, she was granted a three-year Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship to develop the project ‘Women’s Nonfiction Filmmaking in Peru (1970-2020)’ at the School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures (University of Edinburgh). Her work, in English and Spanish, has been published in journals and edited collections and awarded by the British Association of Film, Television and Screen Studies.
