KCL Films for Ukraine 2.0

Together with Dr. Gabriele Salciute Civiliene of Digital Humanities, Prof. Chris Berry has received an A&H Small Projects grant of £1475 to fund a second season of the “KCL Films for Ukraine” screenings they held in Spring of this year. The season will screen 4 films from and about Ukraine. It will bridge the gap between humanitarian engagement and cultural partnerships by raising donations for Ukraine-related charities nominated by the filmmakers, producers, or rights holders. The season will also co-produce knowledge through the involvement of non-academic professionals and viewers in after-film discussions with the filmmakers and/or appropriate experts to deepen knowledge about and understanding of Ukraine and Ukrainian cinema. And these sessions will be recorded and disseminated. A diverse and lively season of documentaries, feature films, shorts and archival films from an equally diverse range of directors is anticipated.
